Foster with Badass

Fosters provide an essential lifeline to our rescue dogs. Badass does not have a shelter to hold dogs, so the number of lives we can save depends on the number of foster homes available. It takes patience, love, and diligence to help rescue dogs acclimate to city life. The work is hard but always rewarding!

Foster Testimonies

  • “Come for the puppy snugglin', stay for the impact. I feel like a meaningful link in a chain of awesome people that are saving lives. You need less than you think. The Badass foster team has been great at matching me with the dogs that are most likely to thrive with me and fit my life. I also feel supported: I travel when I need to travel. I get advice when I need that too. And everybody I've met is super nice.”

  • "My whole perspective on how to engage with dogs has changed. It’s amazing to see the progress a dog can make in just a few days and weeks by being with you. Of course you bond with each dog, but the joy of seeing them find their forever family is truly the best feeling in the world."

    Perry R, Foster Since 2023

  • "My happiest moments in fostering are all the breakthrough moments! Sometimes it is potty training, or learning how to walk on a leash. Other times it's learning to have confidence when you leave the house. It can be learning to love the kennel or even getting along with the house dogs. Each dog comes with their own struggles, and every time a dog is able to overcome their challenges is cause for celebration and keeps me wanting to help more dogs."
